Foreign Exchange Plans Relocation in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

In an exciting development for local automotive services, Foreign Exchange, a well-known auto repair and service station, is aiming to relocate from its current address at 643 Miamisburg Centerville Road to a newer site on Paragon Road. The zoning documents submitted to the Washington Township Zoning Commission indicate that the proposed new location will span across 1.87 acres of undeveloped land, strategically positioned between Modern Office Methods Dayton and Symphony at Centerville.

This initiative stems from Foreign Exchange’s desire to enhance its service offerings while being mindful of the surrounding environment. The company is committed to minimizing noise disruption as it will be operating in close proximity to both commercial and residential areas. A statement in their application mentioned, “With existing locations in Moraine and Springboro near similar settings, we have developed excellent relationships with our neighbors, encountering no complaints about noise.”

To further reassure the community, the business plans to limit its operations to ensure a quieter environment, stating explicitly that there will be no “heavy engine rebuilds or activities that generate loud noise” at the new site.

Currently, the land is zoned as Planned Development Office District 2; however, the team is working towards having it rezoned to the Planning Development District 2 category to facilitate their move.

A pivotal hearing regarding this request is on the agenda for the Zoning Commission’s meeting scheduled for October 15, at 6 PM.

For those wanting further details on this relocation or who may wish to voice their opinions, upcoming zoning meetings are a great opportunity for local residents to engage with these plans.
