What Are Passkeys?

For those unfamiliar with the concept, passkeys enable users to access personal data using biometric indicators—such as fingerprints and facial recognition—eliminating the need for managing yet another password or encryption key. Additionally, on specific devices, these passkeys can also function with screen lock codes.

This feature began rolling out today, with full availability expected within a few weeks. To use it, WhatsApp users should navigate to the Settings tab once their app is updated.
