LG has announced a collaboration with Ubisoft to bring the popular rhythm game, Just Dance Now, to LG Smart TVs. This innovative game will be available in December through the LG Gaming Portal for users in the US and Europe who have TVs running webOS 22 or later, eliminating the need for additional hardware.
Originally launched in 2014 as a mobile application for iOS and Android, Just Dance Now evolved into a platform for players without a console. It features a vast library of songs across multiple decades, offering free access for a limited time each day. For fans wanting more, Ubisoft offers subscription plans and song packs for purchase.
Previously reliant on smartphones for gameplay, the LG version will utilize the LG Magic Remote as a motion controller, allowing users to engage without extra equipment.
Ahead of the official December launch, a beta version will give players access to three songs on the first day, followed by one song each day for a two-week trial, although a release date for this beta has yet to be disclosed.
The LG Gaming Portal is rapidly establishing itself as a powerful alternative for casual gaming enthusiasts, previously incorporating Xbox Game Pass and the newly enhanced GeForce NOW app, which supports 4K game streaming at 120Hz on LG TVs.
